NYSE Euronext experienced an isolated electrical fire within the Mahwah, NJ data center’s South MPOE (Multiple Point of Entry) room. This MPOE supports connectivity for 58 customers to Manhattan sites located at 32 Avenue of the Americas and 111 8th Avenue. Affected customers have been contacted and service recovery is proceeding. The fire was contained to a single cabinet and resulted in no injuries.
NYSE trading systems were not affected, and will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Monday, October 10.
At this time a backbone network node to 111 8th Avenue is using an alternate path for SFTI IP connectivity. Connectivity for SFTI Optic to 111 8th Avenue may experience interruptions and customers should use their alternate path, if available.
Customers should verify connectivity and notify the NYSE Technologies Service Desk if impacted in any way.
