NYSE Amex UTP Trading Surges in September

Highlights: NYSE Amex captured market share of 1% or more in 150 Nasdaq-listed issues so far in September. NYSE Amex trading of Nasdaq-listed issues is gaining real momentum since lowering take and routing rates.

• Amex volume in Nasdaq-listed securities is growing with 150 stocks over 1% market share month-to-date thru September 14. • Amex offers rebates of $.0010 for clients and $.0011 for SLPs, compared to only a $.0005 rebate on EDGA and a $.0003 charge on BYX for liquidity adding. • Liquidity providers benefit from access to a growing pool of liquidity removers who only pay $.0004. • The most actively traded stocks by Amex market share were:
