Update: Comparison Issues From Trade Date 8/17/2011

The NYSE encountered a limited problem with sending some comparison data to the clearing corporation from Trade Date August 17, 2011 resulting in some comparison sides being duplicated and some trades missing from comparison. The NYSE believes it has identified the missing and duplicated trades and have either sent trades or will be sending trades to DTCC to address this issue today.



On Activity date of August 19, 2011 the following adjustments were sent to DTCC with the as-of Trade Date of August 17, 2011:
• Reversals for all the duplicate trades were sent to DTCC and appeared on the 12:00 PM slice of the intraday contract output
On Activity date of August 22, 2011 the following adjustments will be sent to DTCC with the as-of Trade Date of August 17, 2011:
• Missing trades will be sent to DTCC and should appear on the 10:00 AM slice of the intraday contract output.

Clearing Firms should check and make sure that they do not have open items in OCS that were resolved by the above actions for the as-of trade date of August 17th. If you do have remaining unresolved items from trade date August 17 please enter them into OCS immediately.
