Service Issue Update

25 May 2011

In February 2011, NYSE began rollout of an enhanced Common Customer Gateway (Binary CCG). At the close of trading yesterday, May 24, 2011, the Exchange detected a software defect in the closing time format in Binary CCG, present since its inception, that allowed the transmission of messages (orders, cancellations, cancel/replaces) to the matching engine between 4:00:00 pm and the close. The Exchange has corrected this defect for today’s trading and is investigating the issue. Note that this issue is limited to those customers accessing the NYSE using Binary CCG. Customers using traditional CCG were unaffected. Please contact NYSE Trading Services Desk at 866-368-3375 with questions.
